@Greenbaum @Sarge2155 I have a question right away!

2017 for 7 months I’ve been in Costa Rica (every 3 months I was going to Nicaragua for visa run, totally 3 times I went outside the country)

2018 for 6 months I was in Costa Rica again ( this time went outside the country for visa run 2 times)

Do I have to ask for police certificate from Costa Rica, even if I was there as a tourist?

Required for all countries where you (beneficiary) have lived for more than 6 months since the age of 16 and any country where you have been arrested, even if you were not a resident there.  U.S. police certificates are not required.  Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable or are obtained directly by your Embassy (rarely does your embassy execute this step).  Fingerprints are required for certain countries. Petitioner is not required to adhere to the above instructions as their background checks have been completed during the submission of the I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e).

@Greenbaum Does Manila have a P3? If so, can you please link it? Also, I remember that you have a link that describes this whole K1 process, that's not part of VJ. Do you have that? Thanks in advance.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Hello Greenbaum. I know this is kind of a stretch but unfortunately there is not a lot of information for our country (beneficiary lives in Afghanistan). Would you perhaps have PDFs like these for Afghanistan?

There has been some from your country who have passed through these threads and I have kindly asked them to provide back to the community any P3 letters to help those like yourself to navigate through the process and none have followed up on my request.

You are right there isn't much out there but from your embassy website it sends you here for instructions. Start with this information and once you receive a P3 contact me and we can exchange the P3 with each other. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#1

@WhoKnowsWhoCares

Here's some tricks to use when answering and wanting to quote someone.

First, when you use the quote button, go into a LONG posts that you are quoting and if there isn't a need to have the entire post, just delete a small portion of it, but leaving enough of the original post so we can understand what you are replying to.

Second, you can use the "@" sign in a blank reply box then begin typing the person's nick to bring up a list with their name and select their name. If it is done right, you should see a blue box around their nick like this @Greenbaum. When you use the @ sign you would use it in a blank reply and not a "+" reply.

Third is just to use the "heart" icon and select "thanks". Don't really need to say thanks in a quote. (using your example, you were making a comment and a thank you so the way you presented yourself is fine.

Received the I-797 NOA2 Approval letter.  What are the "Valid from" dates for?   What has to be done by the expiration date, in my case 10/1/2020?   Thanks!

How long from the approval you received the letter, just to have an idea for myself
