Hey y’all. I had my SO fill out the DS-160 since we finally got a case number. If I’m correct, the next thing he needs to do is pay the visa appt. fee in order to schedule an appointment, correct? Is that okay to do now, even though our case is still at the NVC

This next step, paying and scheduling the interview, is the next appropriate step. This is the only option to be able to see the open and available interview dates.

Unfortunately, when my SO tried to schedule an interview, K1 was not an option (but CR-1 was). There has been a spike in COVID cases in Auckland so the consulate isn’t holding interviews until further notice. :(

You mean you were able to log into CEAC and pay the fees already? I just keep getting the error message that a DS160 is required even though I have already filled that one out ages ago.

Can you even pay online? My fiancée had to pay in cash at the bank

Well this is the error message I get whenever log into CEAC. I have called NVC and they have told me that there is nothing I can do except to wait for embassies to open. Were you able to get past this page?

I went to the ceac.state.gov and filled out the DS-160 for my fiancée and her two kids. Then I went to the ustraveldocs webpage for the Philippines and found out we needed to pay in cash at the bank.

You probably need to go here

Thanks for this! Wow I totally did not know that I had to pay the MRV fee on a different website I thought the only website was the CEAC 😅   and yes, I just made payment online 😅  🙏

Just to follow-up, my fiance made a report on ustraveldocs on how he could not select the k1 visa when he tried to pay the fee via KiwiBank.  They told him to email aucklandiv@state.gov.  B (who is apparently someone who is mentioned in Auckland consulate reviews as being a nice person) responded saying that he will pay the fee at the interview. In their words "The K1 fee is different than the normal NIV visa fee". However, how can you make an interview appointment when ustraveldocs says that you have to pay the fee first? I guess we have to wait until our case reaches NZ and then we will be contacted by the consulate about our next steps.

Here is the P3 from the US Embassy Aukland. See if that helps you in your next steps.

Be careful as each embassy can and some do differentiate from each other for the process. What one embassy does another may not. Here is a thread, though it is about a year old, that I think could be beneficial to your cause.

Hello all: We hope everyone is doing well. We received our case and invoice numbers from the NVC. We waited to call until the NVC timelines said "processing June 30, 2020"; however, it appears our number was assigned July 24, 2020!

We recommend calling at night. We called in at 11:15 p.m. and the client service representative picked up in one ring!

@Greeenbaum, is there a current P3 for Canada? Our research has found a copy dated 2016.

Hang on everyone.

Thanks @Greenbaum! I have looked through the documents and according to the P3 it says the deposit slip and MRV has to be paid via the link suggested by @theonewiththepoof at https://www.ustraveldocs.com/sg/sg-niv-paymentinfo.asp. I really hope I was not too hasty in paying the fee!

Yes.

P3 Letter from Consulate

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gNE59CSXcFjVhiBa3tLYFclDtj3f0nCp/view?usp=sharing

Starting 1/2019 Indonesia requires the Tax Transcript and not the 1040.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.
