The app I use on my Android phone doesn't have automatic case tracking/notifications.  I actually found out by checking here https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do

I was crying when I refreshed the case tracker app and saw that the case number before ours got approved, I started praying + crying and was pushed to refresh it again and that was it! I saw our case turn GREEN💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
We got APPROVED!!! GOD IS GREAT!💃🏽

Your case goes to the embassy and you wait for your packet to schedule interview (fill out ds 160 and affidavit of support)

Are cases still just sitting at the NVC? Or are they actually getting sent to embassies now?
