And what if the petitioner change the address on the NVC stage? Do we have to inform them somehow?

Expand

Once a K-1 petition has reached the NVC and they have the beneficiary's email and/or mailing address (usually email), then they're done with communicating with the petitioner, so you don't need to send an update.

The beneficiary will just need to use the petitioner's new address in any paperwork where it's asked for on the visa application.

Hi Olga I see you posted an update for April as well. Could you post a May update, too, please?  🙏🏻 😁

Hi guys! So, I'm now here in US. I arrived last night and I was accomodated very well at the immigration area when I arrived at the airport. They needed to check alot of things before giving me a year stay. My K1 Fiance Visa application is already in their system and the immigration officer told me that I really need to be patient with the process and he also hoped that me and my fiance will get notified soon. I got scared at first, because I was taken to another immigration facility at the airport due to "special" background checks etc. But yeah, everything went well. So, the plan is to return to my home country as soon as we get notified. I'm using my B1/B2 visa.

Thank you so much for this!😁 Please I have a question if you don’t mind...do they send any notice for a rejected case?

Of course they do. They send the petition back and give a chance to rectify the mistake (sign the form, provide a correct fee amount etc.). Then you send it again. This happens when the petition is first received by the lockbox and before you get NOA1.

You would be wise to update your address also with NVC if your record is still there. The petitioner will get a case number in the snail mail once the record is shipped. They will take the address from the USCIS system so it's best to connect with both so that you get a copy of the NVC case number letter. Most will need the letter for medical.

Wow! Thank you! It’s really helpful! We are planning to get a new house...but hopefully we do it right after I arrive, so we won’t have to send  the address change letters🙏🏼

What does this mean?

The WAC# column is the WAC#'s that were applied for during the month of June. All Cases is the number of cases that have applications for that week. Approved is just that, approved cases thus far. Rejected are the cases that were rejected for whatever the reason could be. Most are missing a slew of required documents and USCIS is not going to adjudicate an incomplete application. REF is the number of cases that a "Request for evidence" was asked for by USCIS. Date is the date that the application was assigned a NOA1.

Why they skip numbers in the middle? Mine is 124925 yet more 131000 got approved. I thought they work first come first serve?

First come first served would never work. When your background check is you'll hear from them. Your welcome.
