Trump just announced:

"I have determined that it is in the interests of the United States to take action to restrict and suspend the entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within the Federative Republic of Brazil during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States," the proclamation reads in part.

Are GC holders affected by those travel bans?

We'll have to wait for the wording of the official proclamation to see if there are any exclusions.  Looks like it is effective May 28th.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

If it’s like the travel bans that have already been put in place for similar reasons then , no.   USC and LPR are allowed to enter ( LPR will be subject to the usual assessments at POE )

The EO  is an interesting read as  Section 1 describes the suspension  saying Section 1. Suspension and Limitation on Entry. The entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within the Federative Republic of Brazil during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States is hereby suspended and limited subject to section 2 of this proclamation.

Section(a) 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:

now go to VIII under 2(a)   that says any alien

so any alien is exempt from the order??????

or somebody goofed when it was written

Hopefully, anyone coming from Brazil - green card holders, USCs, anyone - will self-quarantine because Brazil is handling covid-19 poorly, to say the least. The number of infected people has soared in the past few days and there is an alarmingly high number of individuals (including the country's president) that think this virus is a joke. As a Brazilian, such desdain both embarrasses and enrages me.

Hey JeanneAdill...what I've been perplexing over from since Bolsonaro got elected was...why did the Brazilian people put this...this character in power? How in the world did that happen?

That is the question that all the other Brazilians (who did not vote for him) have been asking...... He has always been a lunatic, homophobe, racist, sexist shame of a politician. His supporters knew exactly what they were signing up for. But how and why millions of people got behind his ideas full of hatred... Hard to tell and almost impossible to explain.

Well, his supports (at least some of them) are now reaping the consequences of their actions. Unfortunately so many other Brazilians (particularly, the poor) are also paying a heavy price for putting this psychopath in power. Honestly, as you can see here in the US, we are also doomed similarly for having done the same (100,000+ unnecessary and preventable loss of life). What a world we live in today!

No, you misread it:

Quote

Section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:

>

>

(viii) any alien

  • (A) seeking entry into or transiting the United States pursuant to one of the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-2, C-3 (as a foreign government official or immediate family member of an official), E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee’s immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6 (or seeking to enter as a nonimmigrant in one of those NATO categories); or
  • (B) whose travel falls within the scope of section 11 of the United Nations Headquarters Agreement;

>

>

The earlier Proclamations on the 14 days preceding US entry were written in the same way. For example, the Schengen Area proclamation: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspension-entry-immigrants-nonimmigrants-certain-additional-persons-pose-risk-transmitting-2019-novel-coronavirus/

I voted for bolsonaro, because the other candidate was from a side with comunist ideas that rules brazil in the last 15 years and destroyed the brazilian economy stealing all our money, the most corruption scandal in brazil history

this is why we voted for Bolsonaro

he has a smart mouth, but while media and TV attack him, the governors and mayors steal all the money......

Getting back to the proclamation itself (and away from politics), looks like many exceptions exist......Are K-1's exempt??
