Thanks Dean, I appreciate your words. :)

As CAPS keeps singing to me, "Que sera sera." I believe that what is to happen will happen. I just have to keep that philosophy first, and stop trying to put my own timeframes on it (something I have a bad habit of doing). Getting older though, harder to un-train my faults...all 2 of them. :P

**Update of nothing much...** :lol:

So after over a week of waiting, I get the email telling me they've offered the job to someone else. I responded nicely in the tone of not burning my bridges, although my druthers would have been to reply with something like "No sh!t sherlock, I'd have to be an untrained monkey not to have figured out you weren't calling me. Your loss." ;)

Like you've said, their loss. Wankahs. Bleh to them. :mellow:

I have an appointment with a temp agency next week...finally found one that seems to be on the ball, unlike the other ones to whom I've sent resumes. I only sent this one my resume on Wednesday and they're doing an intake/testing interview...unlike the ones from January who have yet to even to do that much.

So still on the positive side of things. :) Hope everyone has a great weekend. :dance:

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

Knowing that mentally and feeling it emotionally are two very different things, especially when a big part of the adjustment things I'm going through lately will be alleviated by working outside the house.

I also (luckily) haven't had too many job rejections in my life...probably saved it all up until now! LOL

Anyway, what you say is correct and I have to get more used to letting it roll off my back. :yes:

Today's call for mojo and crossing bits for luck!

I have an interview with a temp agency this a.m. (testing etc.) and lo and behold in my email this morning was also a phone interview request. It's a job for which I'm *very* well suited, and considering that I put in the application last night at 5 and her request came in at 9 same night for a phone interview today, I'm pretty happy about the possibilities. I should be in good form since I'll be in interview mode from the morning.

Of course, I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep, which is always good. LOL

One down, one to go.

I'm wiped out, but they were extremely impressed at the agency. Like they'd never seen test scores as high as mine (which makes me wonder if I'm really that good or it they've just been open a couple of weeks... :lol: ). I'm also 11 wpm faster at typing than when I tested in 2004. Thanks VJ for the practice! ;)

3 hours till phone interview for the other job.
