Job Interview Tomorrow!

Well, Dean, on one question she asked me why they should hire me. I answered "Because I'm fabulous!"

The interview went quite well as far as I'm concerned. I connected well with the woman interviewing me, who would also be my supervisor should I be hired. My skills were more than enough, my work history similar to the style they need (it's a growing operation right now and I've been through that). But she said that the hiring would be done based mainly on fit to the existing staff (i.e. how well I'd work in the team) as there's only 11 of them. So either she likes my personality and thinks it'll fit or not, so really all I can do now is hope that it does.

She's finishing initial interviews this week and then I'll hear next week if I'm not in the running or if I'm on to my 2nd interview. Everyone keep mojo-ing and crossing whatever body parts you can.

No, the writing thing didn't come up. I mean I made reference to my Tech Writing but she didn't make mention of the open posting. So I left it...from the sounds of this job and they way their company works, the 75% I'm missing would be a huge impact (since they're such a small staff). I'd rather start here and work into other places later.

Yeah, I'm kind of glad I reported back while I was still in the timeframe...because now I've spent all evening/morning thinking I've overestimated. I guess it's natural to second-guess, but it's nice to have written all that so I can remember without my negative post-interview perspective clouding it.

Anyway, still trying to be positive and not focus on all the things that in hindsight I'd have said/done differently. hehe
