So when I was filling out the I-129F under the ‘consular processing information’ What u.s embassy or consulate will the beneficiary apply at, I have put Perth because I didn’t realise only Sydney do the K-1 interview.

will this be an issue or will they put 2 and 2 together and send it to Sydney anyway ?

thanks :)

You shouldn't worry because it will be routed to the right place. At least it was the same country and you didn't put the wrong country in it.

Side not..... So is your fiancé a Marine stationed at CP? If so you will like the area just stay away from Oceanside if you can

You put Camp Pendleton down as your city..... A Marine always knows about Camp Pendleton

No, Oceanside is pretty decent as long as you stay out of trouble so don't worry. I was stationed there for a little bit before being transferred to Camp Lejeune.

Not that much trouble if you don't go looking for it. The biggest thing that hurts Oceanside is that Camp Pendleton is right next door

Hello,

This article caught my attention because my fiance is from Australia and is living in Canada.

We filed our K-1 with her Australian citizenship and put Montreal for our interview location.

Now im trying to find out when we could potentially get our interview date.

The NVC received our case on May 20th.

Will it be dependent on the stats from Australia? or from Canada? based on the timeline chart;

https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php

I know its impossible to predict an exact date but a guesstimate is always nice to look forward to!

Thanks!

Stats are based on the consulate.   If you asked for Montreal and it looks like she has residency, the NVC will send it to Montreal.  K1s pick their interview dates. She will be competing with a lot of others for early slots.

Thanks for the update!

I do know there will be a bit of a back log; I'm assuming/hoping they keep the K-1 visa interviews separate from the other visa interviews?

She wont be able to pick an interview date until she gets her packet from the consulate?

And the consulate wont get the packet until NVC ships it out?

Trying to make sure we have all our i's dotted to keep things rolling!

Thanks again!
