Hello ,everyone. I've sent my I-485 package back in April to Chicago office. They rejected the case because the forms were outdated. I've sent the fixed package again and they recieved it on May,1 (the UPS notification says that the package has been signed by someone named John). It has been 18 days since I sent it and I've got no news from USCIS and now i'm really worried that my package is lost. Idk what to do, guys. I check the case status on the USCIS website several times a day but all I see is the same rejection notice from April, 17. Has anyone had the same kind of a problem? I'm really confused.

There are a lot of people experiencing longer waiting times. You can email the lockbox support if you haven't heard back in 30 days. You might also want to try the ask Emma chat support and ask for a live agent. Seems like others had luck with that.

You'll get new case numbers so don't bother checking on the ones from your rejected case.

Thanks a lot. I really hope I'll hear from them sooner than later.

Yeah, we are in same boat. However, we used USPS, and don't know whether USCIS received it or not. We mailed it back on April 30th, supposed to be delivered on May 2nd. USPS tracking says "in transit". We haven't heard anything from USCIS and check hasn't been cashed.

Hoping we get our NOA1 soon too. Best of luck.

Took 21 days for them to process my AOS last year when everything was going smoothly. I have seen people saying 30 days to get their case numbers at the minimum. I used a credit card and as soon as the charge posted, the next day I received all my case numbers via text message, so I would give it another week at least before you worry.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Mine was delivered on April 13. They checked it on May 5. Package came back on 9th due to mistakes. I re-submitted on 12th through USPS. It was picked up on 14th. Now I’m waiting to hear back from them.

Good luck with your case and keep us updated:)

This actually happened to us when we filed our first attempt. It’s possible your package was delivered and the tracking just wasn’t updated. But what happened with us is that it most likely got lost/misplaced. The last update was March 1 leaving a Chicago distribution center. Then it said “In transit” for the next 5 days or so. I filed a search request with USPS on March 7. Then it magically showed up at the post office and delivered on March 9.

Your wait is much longer though so you may have already filed a search request. But if you haven’t, you could try it.

You're worried because it has been 18 calendar days?  That is not three weeks, especially with weekends in there.  Things just don't move that fast with USCIS.  We waited over a year just for an AOS interview.

The average wait time for noa 1 seems to be around the month mark with rejections getting returned within the first 2-3 weeks.. or at least that’s what I’m seeing and hearing from others.

were on our second submission, that tracking has it delivered on 4/24 still nothing, so it’s a little early for you to be worrying just yet.
