Instructions say.. :

In the resulting window, right click on the barcode and click on Copy. Then go to the MS Word copy of the DS-230 Part I coversheet, select the old barcode that's already there and hit the Delete key. Then click on Paste under the Edit menu (or hit Ctrl + V on the keyboard). You then need to further adjust the size of the barcode by right-clicking on it and clicking on "Format Picture." Then click on the "Size" tab. De-select "Lock aspect ratio" and change the height to 0.4" and the width to 3.45". Click on "OK."

By making my barcode 0.4 in height and 3.45 in width makes it tiny on the page!!!?? Surely this isn't correct... When i paste from the original it replaces the old one and is roughly the same size as the one shown on the example form...

So... is it supposed to be 0.4 and 3.45 or is that a mistake coz looking at my barcode on the cover sheet at that size its soooooo tiny

Anyone?

If you double-click on the original barcode on the coversheet and click on the Size tab, you'll see it is it 0.4" x 3.45". The only thing I can think of is that the barcode you copied and pasted has a some extra white space surrounding it, so when you paste it into Word and make it 0.4" x 3.45", the barcode itself ends up smaller than it should be.

The important thing, though, is that the barcode is readable, so regardless of the precise size being shown by Word, if you get it to look more or less the same size as the original, you should be good to go.

I gotcha! wicked thankyou James, i think i have it pretty much spot on, yet when i re size the copied one it makes it sooo small, so as long as its roughly the same size as the example in the word doc i should be cool yeah? :)
