Police certificate no longer required for Pakistan?

So if I am reading this correctly, the Nvc doesn’t require police certificate for immigration from Pakistan? My sisters Nvc processing just started and they are collecting documents so I want to make sure I give her the right information. Thanks

Yes in embassy they dont even collect that now but its safe to get I but again now not a requirement...... if she has spent I think more than 6 months in some other country then clearance certificate is a must from that specific country.

Because Pakistan's record-keeping is poor, the police certificates are of no use for US immigration.  Hence the extended APs for applicants from Pakistan.

Yes you’re reading correctly. No police certificates required for immigrant visa applications from Pakistan.

Thank you everyone. I just wanted to make sure that’s the case now because 10 years ago my husband had to get them from every city he lived in for 6 months!! Thanks all
