So we mail our packets into the chicago address.

Then they eventually process it and assign us an interview date/place, is that correct?

I wonder where our interview will be. We live in Lubbock TX.

The nearest texas office to us is Dallas (6 hr drive), as far as I can tell.

That mean we need to start saving up for a road trip? hehe

31 Mar 2008 - I751 Packet mailed

07 Apr 2008 - Check Cashed

14 Apr 2008 - Biometrics letter arrived

Filed: Timeline

Innitial processing is done and then when its ready for interview it is stored until your local office says its ready... a letter with time and date and place is then sent to you.....

Not sure where your local office is.... I a sure other may be able to help..

Should you choose to participate in the pilot program, and if you are eligible, you will be able to schedule your appointment time through InfoPass. If your application is complete, you will have your interview for permanent residence on the scheduled date. Here is where you can check if your county is served by the Dallas office:

They do list Lubbock county so assuming Lubbock is in Lubbock county, Dallas is indeed your office and you can do the pilot program (DORA).
