ok as in James shortcuts it says this..

AOS fee bill

You will need to replace the barcode at the bottom of the page. Again, go to http://www.idautomation.com/java/linearservlet.html. Select CODE 39. Select "No" for the "Add check digit," "Add check digit to text," and "Show text below barcode" options. Change the X dimension to 0.07 and the Barcode bar height to 0.85. Click on Create Barcode.

Ok, i've done this.. just one thing... Once my barcode is generated it says you encoded "123456789012"

Is this correct or when doing the barcde under "Data to encode" should i put our case no.? And does this include the letters too?

In the shortcuts in mentions nothing about replacing them numbers with our case no. so is that ok???

Pleeeeeeease help!!!

Thankyou so much

Yep, you have to change the letters into your case # including the letters ... otherwise, how will the NVC know it's you?

The reason it's missing in the instructions for the AOS bill is because he had already explained the whole barcode thing on the DS-3032 section right above it. If you read those instructions, that's where it says that you should enter the case # in the barcode ID.

It's imperative that we all read all the instructions word for word if we want to follow the shortcuts, even if we think some of those things don't apply to us.

Oh i read it all fine, but if one jumps to JUST the AOS fee bill instructions it doesn't say about entering your case no. there. OK its pretty ovious it should be put in there but some dumb people like me, will follow whats written and hope it comes out right. I just followed it word for word on that particular section and you'll see it doesn't mention under data to encode to put your case number.

I used shortcut for DS 3032, DS 230. But I did not use shortcut for AOS Fee Bill, since it will prompt NVC to generate I-864. There are two NVC tracks:

DS 3032 -----> IV Fee Bill -----> DS 230 packet

AOS Fee Bill -----> I-864

These two tracks are independent and finally they merge at the end of process. So do not be stressed about AOS Fee Bill. If you can use the shortcut, great, if not, you won't lose any time. NVC reviews everything and forwards the case to the Embassy/consulate, if all paperwork are fine.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
