Interview canceled what to do?

My mother is suppose to have her interview on July 6,07, but today we received a letter stating the the interview is canceled. THis was stated on the letter. . .

This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstanced, we have canceled the previously scheduled interview on Friday, july 6, o7 at 7:20am for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. You will be notified of any further action takin on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice.

I've checked the online status and there's no LUD on it. Last LUD was April 11,07. What should we do? Do we just go ahead and go to our appointment time or wait for rescheduled interview letter?

I have read a few topics about canceled interview where they went ahead and gone for their interview date and was still called. I'm thinking about doing this and worst case is them telling us the interview is canceled. So confuse right now any advice would be great.

Definitely go ahead and go-- the worst that could happen is that they don't call her.

Yes I was thinking of just going anyways, but how long do you get rescheduled appointment again.

Rescheduling may be a moot point - you may find that you interview was not cancelled, there is no rescheduling to be done.

It's happening quite often.

General consensus on the board is to go anyway. If she gets there and is turned away there will be no harm done. If she doesn't go, and the letter cancelling the interview was a mistake, her case will be considered abandoned.

Thanks guys. RIght now we are still going on the original appt. date even though we got a letter stating that it is canceled. We are just hoping a new interview letter will soon arrive.

Everyone was right. We went and still got interviewed and got approved! Thanks to everyone!

My mom is soo happy! Now just the waiting game of when the card will arrive!

Card was ordered in production on July 9. Received card in the mail today! MOM is soooo happy! ! !

Lesson learned USCIS is so out of hand!

It's almost a year and we are still waiting for my dad's interview decision.
