So I am currently filling out the online application to have my husband come over... hopefully. But I am currently stuck on the employment section for him. He is self employed, a driver actually, like uber or taxi. He doesn't drive for a specific company. Will him being self employed mess up our chance of the first step being approved? Will they ask for taxes on his part or documents showing proof of employment?

So you are at i130 level? If so nothing is required documents wise about his education or employment and such. You would be just providing the info. No effect in approval either from his employment status.

Does the NVA stage require education or work documents?

Okay thank you very much. When I put self employed, do I just put his home address since he's a driver?

He's a self employed driver.  Home address.  Simple stuff.  Never going to have to document this in any way.

Note that what you are completing is a petition for alien relative.  You are not applying for anything.  Other documents and another form will be uploaded at this stage.

DS-5540 may be requested at the interview: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/public-charge-questionnaire.html "The DS-5540 asks if the applicant has graduated from high school or has a GED and if the applicant has earned any other educational degrees. It asks if the applicant has any occupational skills, but it limits the applicant to listing only certifications and licenses, the date they were obtained, who issued them, the license number, and the date of expiration or renewal. If the applicant has a particular job skill—such as mechanic, plumber, electrician, welder—but lacks a formal license or certification, he or she should still answer “yes” to question #16 and be prepared to explain this to the consular officer. He or she might also submit a statement from an employer confirming this skill and how it is applied on the job." https://cliniclegal.org/resources/ground-inadmissibility-and-deportability/public-charge/state-departments-new-fam-public

Thank you for your response. I have a graduation certificate from an American university. I hope this document can be accepted by the NVA as meeting the NVA requirements.
