In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Based on the wording of the question asked, the answer is absolutely false.   Most USCs and immigrants will get the advance rebate. Some will need to wait or 2020 taxes to get the full credi

If both are currently residents and both have social security numbers, they would get separate checks.  If one does not have a SS#, then that person would not get the stimulus.

The CARES Act prohibits payment of the recovery rebate to anyone who does not include a social security number (SSN) on their tax return for the taxable year. Joint filers must include an SSN for both spouses, unless one spouse is in the Armed Forces.

No, it is the point. The question asked was "Is it true that US citizen married to immigrants won't get stimulus".

Correct, he is a resident alien. But he is not an immigrant, which is what was asked. You're answering a question that wasn't asked.

If the SSN issue is resolved, then yes. Or if they file MFS, yes.

The article says the guy has no SS and only an ITIN. Additionally says "The law excludes immigrants who pay taxes with an Individual Tax Identification Number — used by many unauthorized immigrants — and anyone in their households." Again, this would lead me to believe the man in the article is not here illegally, no? He's working with an ITIN and not a SS. 

So for the OP to ask "Is it true that US citizen married to immigrants won't get stimulus." The majority of people on this website are not in the same situation as the man in the article.

Sorry for being pedantic but isn't portorusa's spouse currently a NRA that is treated as a resident alien. Seems he doesn't (currently) meet the Substantial Presence test: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/substantial-presence-test

For 2019, I'm assuming that was the case. For 2020, I'm assuming they will meet the test.

The US citizens married to non-SSN holders and with MFJ tax status have been excluded from the Stimulus bill. They say there are about 1 mln of them.
