Expedite case for Essential workers

I read that nurses/ front line workers are getting their interviews done because of their role in covid-19.

I’m considered essential employee to US gov’t as well as my company provides essential services to US gov’t. Can I apply to expedite?. My wife interview was cancelled week before it’s original date. It would be a lot emotional help to me. As of whole family is here except 1 person

thanks

So you wife is the potential immigrant and she is not an essential worker?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

So what do you do?

No sure though but you can try but it's not likely to be approved if you live with other people.

I provide essential services as well, what do you do? KBB was on the basis of being a Nurse.

The way I read it, is it applies to the immigrant that’s a prospective essential worker e.g. nurses doctors and other medical professionals that could help...  not the petitioner... but I could be wrong..

if it applies to the petitioner I can see the door opening for a heap of Expidite requests, because under the us definition “essential worker” goes on to include many industries inc, transportation, food service, agriculture, etc etc my hubby is in maritime and has a letter for lockdown.. dosent mean I’m needed here

You asked me what I did, Water Management, Reservoirs etc. Probably more important what you do than who you work for.

Sounds like waste management

Well it becomes waster management when it is drunk and flushed.

Pot Shops where I am are classified as Essential.

All you can do is apply for the expedite and see if it works.  Keep in mind what states, or other entities enter one what is an essential service may not be the same as what USCIS deems an essential worker.

Good Luck!
