Hello VJ Fam,

My AOS and IV fees where taken from my account on 5 May and the accounts were listed as paid the next day.  I have been busy uploading my documents.  As mentioned previously I have two IV cases, my wife and stepson.  They were submitted separately due to an error but have quickly caught up with each other.   However, I have several questions about CEAC as I have been busy uploading documents the last several days however as I proceed I am becoming more confused. I haven't found the answer here yet through searching through your posts. So I decided to ask in a post. Although separated by one year I only had to pay one AOS fee which seems to be right from my reading of the instructions and posts here. My questions are:

First, how do I ensure that the two applications are linked or they know that they both are the from the same family?  When I inputed my son USCIS application online I listed her IV application as also being sponsored by me and pending as well.  Is that enough?

Next, I think I made a mistake because I put my wife as the principle on both AOSs but looking at my son's IV application it lists him as the principle on that application.  Should he be the principle since the applications are not linked or since it is an independent stand alone application?

Lastly, for now, how do I upload civil documents on my wife and his application the civil documents have an N/A there we aren't able to be accessed to be uploaded.  However, both his and her's, AOSs will allow document uploads.  Do I not need to also upload the civil documents there? This seems not in accordance with what I have read here and the instructions. Are the documents that I provided for the initial USCIS review sufficient and I only need to fill out the  IV applications and AOS with attachments (those are the only enabled functions).  I have been placing most of my documents in the AOS because this is the only place I can upload and they also help to establish both relationship and proof of domicile.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

You should call NVC and ask them to process them together. Making a note in a USCIS application doesn't sound like it will do the trick.

From what you write it sounds like you haven't filled out the DS-260 for either of them yet. Civil docs upload section becomes available after you complete the DS-260.

I highly recommend that you do some reading on the DOS website where the NVC process is outlined very, very detailed.
