Hello Friends,

Last month, our EAD and AP Combo card(brand new/1st time one) got expired, for some reason we could NOT apply for renewal, pl. let us know still can we apply for renewal? if so, up to how many days we have chance to apply for renewal because still we need some time to collect some docs from different sources hence it may take some time/2 months under current COVID situation? In general until how many days we have a chance to renew a expired EAD/AP card

Thank you

Yes, there is no deadline if the I-485 is still pending. Remember to submit photocopy of I-485 receipt notice.

IF you had filed before it expired you would have an automatic 180 day extension on only the EAD part of the card. But now you don't have work authorization until either new I-765 is approved or your pending I-485 is approved.

I guess your initial EAD/AP is not based on family based AOS. If family based AOS, no such documents would be needed.

If would be great to see your timeline. What eb category are you? Has your i140 already been approved? What was the service center and when did you file the i140? Many thanks

Even on EB based, if your i485 is pending, all you need is the copy of i485 receipt notice and copy of your existing EAD. Or it is other type like c35 eligibility or NIW physician?

Thank You Arken for your reply. I'm waiting for dates to become current, I'm on EB3 India of Employment based category. Not C35 eligibility or NIW physician. Oh, I dont know that we need just 485 Receipt and existing card, but in google people are saying a long list for documentation
