Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience with a CR-1 re-issuance due to covid?  We are due to travel to the US by July, but from Australia it's near impossible at the moment.  Having applied for a travel exemption (and am still waiting for that outcome), I'm prepping myself for the chance that we may have to apply to get the visa re-issued.  We've already asked the embassy what would be required and last we heard it was police, medical, DS-260 and possibly interview again.  If anyone has had to do this, I'd love to her your experience.  I'm mainly wondering what the time frame for a re-issuance could be, as  I'm hoping it doesn't mean we go to the back of the line (or take another 4-6 months to get through this stage).  Any experiences welcome :)

You not allowed to leave the country at all?

You do know there is a ban on migrant visa's for 60 days that could be extended ?

to leave Australia you need to apply for an exemption (which I have).  We are exempt from the US ban as I'm a US citizen and my husband is on a spouse (CR-1 visa), so he is okay to enter.  the major issue is leaving Australia, as they're really strict on who they are letting out
