If OP used the form printed in mid-October 2019 then it's still valid: https://www.uscis.gov/i-485 "Edition Date 10/15/19. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions. The edition date for the Special Instructions for Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness Applicants is 04/08/20." The Special Instructions are explicitly only for the Liberian Amnesty:

What changed was the expiration date, not the edition date!

 

I saw a post today from someone who got their petition rejected for the same reason (improperly filed), she called USCIS and they told her about the update on 04/20.

I’m well aware of that and I’ll be the first to sigh whenever somebody says “I called the USCIS”, however there was indeed an update on 04/20 and they did indeed update the expiration date of the form.
