Based on current intel, what are the chances that my fiancee will be able to leave the Philippines in June?  It's almost crucial that she gets to the USA before her Visa expires.

Davao is going to go to GCQ, per they mayor on the 15th.

Not sure what curfew times will be.

So looks like Manila/Cebu remain under ECQ, while one busy area finally moves to GCQ.

Manila is under MECQ which is different.

I figured it was something like that.

Is it more stringent than the ECQ or is that called MCEQ due to the fact places like Metro Manila and Laguna or on extended lockdown and kinda city specific?

It's in between ECQ and GCQ

YMMV

Even if Manila is under MECQ, a lot of people are going out, malls started operating too. It's like we're technically out of the lockdown.

I read NBI at the malls can start operating too. I've been trying to book an appointment but can't seem to choose a date. Anybody here who's been successful booking theirs?

There are sweeper flights that have brought people to the US from the Philippines.  At least two happened last week.  I'm not sure where they left from.  Maybe Clark or Davao?  Not sure if NAIA has any but look into it.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Here is an article from CNN Philippines about it:

Philippines has no control over this virus.  They are opening up, but cases are going to spike.  We need to do the medical and do the interview and get out of the PI asap.  Thailand just announced no flights until at least end of June and they have a little better control then the PI.

Also, this administration we have, is going to start hammering non-immigrant visas.  We should be getting an announcement in the next week or two, but the racist Stephen Miller is looking to really cut or eliminate many non-immigrant visa classes all the way up to the election.  Its going to be the number 1 or 2 focus all the way up to the election, the other being China.  This is coming from Fragomen who was on a leaked call concerning the next steps of non-immigrants.  They left the spousal visa alone, but who knows about the fiance visa.  We can only hope everything is left alone.

We may hear about the US Embassy Manila this week sometime if they will start interviews or not.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Don't forget the CFO sticker that is needed in your fiance(e)'s passport.  We are still trying to get that for her.  She attended the class, but wasn't able to get the sticker in time before the lockdowns.  Hoping she will be able to enter Cebu City next month to acquire it.

Yes that as well.  The Manila office has never had a good reputation for this so we may drive to Clark.  I have heard Cebu is generally OK as well.

I think in the given situation, once there is an opening we need to take advantage of it.  Have everything ready to go as these openings we get, may be temporary.
