[NVC -> Consulate][In TRANSIT][5 weeks] Anyone have any recent news from the US Consulate in Korea?

Hi Visajourney community,

Last step we passed was NVC approval on March 31st. Ceac tracker has been reporting "In Transit" since that date and my fiancé and I have only received the NVC letter saying "Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview."

No package 3 or interview date (of course no interview date because in person services are suspended) but not even a notice they have received it or sent out package 3 so we can prepare ourselves.

"in transit" means no communication from consulate.  Need to see until "ready " status.   Secondly,  of course no interview because the k1 applicant self schedules.

YMMV

You're not going to get a P3 from SK embassy as they have it online on their website. That would be the first place IMO that one would look for instructions for an interview. You're not going to get a notification every step of the way. This is more of a self-instructed journey.

Join us in the MAY 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post both links below:

PDF with tips, tricks, and hacks. BTW this PDF is updated from time to time so you might check back to ensure you have the latest information.

And but least of all, join the thread for your region where others can help you along and answer your questions specific to SK. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/90-asia-east-and-pacific/
