Things I like:

C. has a job! He will be bringing in money, which is great after a rather expensive month of moving down here.

Things I don't like:

C. has a job! He works for an oil subcontractor. There's no oil in Connecticut! Man, that blows. So he's in Texas. Left on Friday, will be back on the 10th or so.

Hear me whine. Whine, whine, whine.

Hell girl, you need a shot! (Pours Caladan a nice shot of tequila) :)

Awesome that C. has a job and so soon after he entered. Money is always good. However, I totally empathize that, just after he arrived here, he is gone already :(

I'm really torn. We talked about it, it's a mutual decision, blahdihoho, but damn, the apartment's lonely.

The contract's for ten months, so the usual schedule will be three or four weeks on, two weeks off. They fly him back and forth at their expense. (They were joking that I should come be their 'push', or the person that delivers the dynamite to the drillers, because I would definitely be eligible, as a citizen, for an explosives permit.)

We figure it's a good way for him to get work experience -- it's a branch of the company he worked for in Canada -- and I've got another year up here while I finish my diss. Anything he'd get up here, he'd have to quit in a year and have a spotty track record.
