I did see that on the State Dept Twitter page. And since the country has seen a rise in cases, I think it'll be like this for a little while.

The Embassy website usually updates their COVID-19 info weekly (Tuesdays), yet this week there is no update. 🤔

Do any of you know if interviews are being scheduled for immigrant visas? And if so, any idea if the timeframe?

Thanks!

Unfortunately the embassy is still not processing immigrant visas.  No one knows the timeframe, not even the embassy.

Thanks!

I actually just called to see if I can schedule an interview and I was told that we will receive a call from the consular with our new appointment. I logged on to the US Travel Doc and tried scheduling an appointment it asked if the consular had scheduled our appointment I was confused thinking it was referring to our initial appointment and clicked yes and it actually let me schedule an appointment for VAC only (it wasn't letting me do this before). So it looks like things are moving!

I don't think anything has changed.  I know several people have posted they scheduled appointments or know someone who has an appointment, but since they haven't updated about having interviews and such, I don't think that is the case.  To my knowledge, the embassy has never completely closed as it still provides services for American citizens or emergencies.  However, the embassy is not processing immigrant visas at this time, I assume that also means K-1 visas as well.  I continue getting notifications of the embassy Facebook page, hoping to get updates on the visa situation.  Unfortunately, I don't think anything will happen until the pandemic is under control.
