(im taking greyhound bus) i did so bad in french and i know they would speak english in the consulate, but once im doing and going to eat i feel like im going to get lost and no one will understand me and they all will speak french only. man i know im being soo paranoid but i can't help it.

For the record...we havent booked anything...nor have we made deposits. We just said June 3 so we could give the consulate a projected date. We havent made any plans that require rebooking, nor have we put money down on anything. I don't even have a dress yet, nor have any wedding plans been set in stone. We havent asked the consulate to expedite at all. We were just hoping that we'd get an interview while I am on spring break from school. I think we both realize that isn't going to happen. :)

Thankfully most people in Montreal speak English as well. You'll get the odd few in smaller shops that don't much like to speak English if they can avoid it, but for the most part you should be fine :)

Oh yah I understand what you mean now. Like me, once I step out of that plane and get my luggage... i have no idea where I am going to go. Just try to find a cab I guess. as for the french, j'peut bien y comprendre, but they wont understand my french because I speal a much different dialect. oh well, they all speak english anyway.

Guess we are all in the same boat. I hate the thought of going alone to Montreal. I plan on driving there from Nova Scotia ekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Yeah I'm crazy. Don't know about y'all (how's that for southern Karen) but I am sick of all this waiting on Montreal. I thought about making a tape recording of our little guy crying for daddy at night and sending it to them to see if they'd give me an interview date sooner but looks like unless it's life or death we are all just stuck here in limbo. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate waiting.

It would be nice if all y'all ( you did good with that southernese Freda ;) ) could get interviews at the same time...so y'all wouldn't be by yourself there. :)

LOL...Joel beat me to it!

You guys will do fine being by yourself.

I went with my 16 year old son to our interview and things are not so bad there.

I got a taxi to my hotel, we walked around abit thru the day, and then stayed in our room when it got dark out.

Trust me you will be OK in Montreal. Just be careful.

I only speak English and did fine.

People at the hotels and food places do talk English.

All the police there talk English.

Try and be calm if you can.

:crying: I'm gonna take my Mommy and Daddy with me.LOL But seriously I am. I know they can't come with me to the interview but they'll be close by. I'm still debating taking the little guy to the interview I'll wait until I get packet 4 and see if it says he needs to come if not I'll call them about it. But the terrible 2's are in full force right now. Being stuck in a room for hours with him doesn't sound like fun. So if he doesn't need to be there I'll leave him at the hotel with his grandparents depending on his mood that day. Then again he's such a cutie ( bias momma ) I'm sure no CO will deny him a visa. So who knows. Not sure about the rest of you but I still worry we over looked something and they are going to laugh and say heck no we are not letting you in to the USA. I'll probably worry until I am holding that visa in my hand and I'm through the POE. Oh and FYI I got my medical by courier today woooooohoooooooooo another thing done.

Freda you will do fine at the interview.

I doubt that the little guy has to come with you.

I believe its starts at an older age before they have to attend.

It can be along wait there. Some get in and out fast and others dont.

I dont know why but I had my interview fast and was approved by 9:30. I didnt get my visa in my hand till 11:45. I tell ya I was freaking sitting there thinking that they changed their minds about it  Everything possible was running thru my mind, cause everyone else was in and out that came in after me. I even went back to the women at the counter and asked if there was a problem why I wasnt getting it like everyone else. I cried when the lady finally passed me our visa's. :crying: I had to sit down and look them all over before I left to make sure there was no mistakes, and I sobbed with relief. Roger had already called our room to see if we were back becasue we were taking so long. I couldnt even really talk to him when he called back. My son said to Roger, she's crying...... Thank god your in another room when they pass your visa to you and not in front of everyone else sitting out front. Oh the memories. Just enjoy the moment when they pass it too you, all this is so worth it. (F)
