Well that’s your answer if they ask why you have a round trip rather than a one way. Not the first person to do this because it’s cheaper on some airlines.

And don’t forget to do this.

Yes my husband has an appointment this week with a tax advisor At H&R to fix our tax return! Thank you!

Hi, my father in law asked me if I would like him to come here and fly back with me to help with the flights and maybe it would help at the airport as well. I know I’ll most likely be second interviewed and will have to explain why I left for almost a year, and I’m afraid they refuse to let me in. Do you guys think him coming with me would matter or won’t change anything? Also some of you who travel with small kids, I know they have to wear masks, but tissus mask are not allowed and I can’t find chirurgical mask that would fit my 2 years old. Thank you!

Air France told me she’s gonna need to wear one in the flight

Seen many reports of airline personnel not enforcing on flights.

All that will do imo is hugely inconvenience your father in law. Will make absolutely no difference in what CBP decide to do. From a couple of other reports I’ve seen looks like they are being lenient on long absences anyway. I don’t know why you’re so convinced you’ll be in secondary, I’d expect the officer to maybe ask you a few questions, possibly give you a warning, and stamp you in.

I’m naturally anxious so maybe that’s why and because the embassy told me I’d probably be asked a lot of questions. But reading you reassures me thank you

IRS Form 2555 and amend 1040x.

So the tax lady said we don’t qualify for exclusions and she didn’t have enough info to file Form 2555 so didn’t do it. She just filed out the 1040 and told us it could take up to 6 months or more before being processed but if I have a copy that proves we did it, it should be fine right?
