Hello, any news yet? I put a service request

, why case taking longer time, let’s see what Responses come

No updates here.  According to USCIS, I-751 petitions that have been transferred to local field offices, are considered "outside normal processing time" if submitted before February 15, 2016.  https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

It's going to be tough for your case since you filed in June 2019.  Let's hope you get lucky and get some positive feedback!

I wasn’t the one who submitted the service request, I called uscis for update the lady said the processing time for my case was 6 months, since I’ve been waiting For more then a year she felt it justified to submit a service request.
We don’t belong to the local office because our case is sent there, we remain to our original service center

No updates on my side yet.  Did any New York applicants get scheduled or re-scheduled for an I-751 interview lately?

I want to know the same thing.  Looks like they are not moving with I751 interviews, only n400.

Hi everyone,

I am creating this thread for I-751 filers who have been transferred to their local field offices (five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Rockland and Westchester counties) to be interviewed.

I have included all the details of my I-751 process in my signature and the Visa Journey timeline.  My window for the N-400 application is now open but I have not applied yet.

Note that, depending on your zip code, you may be residing at one county and belong at a field office of another county.  Check out the below USCIS link for details on your local field office.

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/field-office/field-office-state?state=NY&topic_id=1&lang=1125

Woww. You filled February 2019 in Vermont??? Aren't you already out of processing time???

Is your case sitting in the local office or NBC

So USCIS responded to my inquiry today saying that they will process my I-751 and N400 together.

I just went to my InfoPass appointment for the I-551 stamp and the IO said that my case is at the local office, so it would be in Queens. He encouraged me to go to the N-400 interview scheduled in December because they *might* adjudicate both. I think I'll send a e-Request through the portal and figure it out from there.

This is the first scheduled interview for I751 that I see on here, for NYC.

Gather all the documents you have, take an attorney with you and be confident.

When did you get the first notice that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview?

When you switched your application to a waiver did you submit a brand new application and paid the fee or you just sent a letter with the final divorce decree?

I can't believe you waited almost 3 years.  It's insane!!!

Good luck!!! Let us know what happens.

I got interview notice the last week of this October. I remember coming home and seeing the envelope and thought i saw a ghost.

I gathered as much documents as i can.

What I have:

2 Joint Bank statements

Utility Bills - Con Ed & National Grid 2018-2019

Life Insurance Documentation (he was the beneficiary)2019-2019

Pension Plan (he was the beneficiary)

Aflac plan 2017 (added spouse coverage)

3 affidavits ( landlord, cousin, friend)

2015 taxes( my lawyer only sent 2016 filed jointly (why who knows))

Past mail in his name (Juror notice, etc.)

Past mail in both our names (From NY state taxation , NY state health)

All state renters insurance (2018-2019)

Lease (2 year lease 2016-2018 and 1 year lease 2019)

Some pictures

What was sent by the lawyer:

Copy of both of licenses (with the same address)

1 Joint bank account(2016-2017)

Utility Bills - Con Ed & National Grid 2018-2019

Joint health insurance cards

Flex benefit heath debit card ( both our names and statement)

Life insurance (naming him as beneficiary)

All state renters insurance (2017)

Joint lease (2016-2018)

Pictures

I have been divorced for a year. The only limitations I have are I only have "some" extra pictures. The rest got lost in the divorce and I am not in much speaking terms with my ex husband.

My attorney is in another state. Due to covid restrictions he will not be able to be here. But he can be on the phone during the interview.

There was no need for a new application or new fee. I letter was sent and a addendum to USCIS changing it to a divorce waiver.

Also add I have a affidavit letter from my ex husband to immigration (that my husband gave to me at the divorce signing that he cheated)

Sounds like you have enough evidence. You should be fine.

Good luck!!
