I haven't watched the video yet.

To my layman's eye, the Treason clause (Art. III, Sec. 3) seems to apply to helping foreign agents wage war against the U.S.  Conversely, to me the coup seems like a completely inside job.

Considering the narrow construal of the few previous cases, I don't really see how to convict any of these clowns for treason if they were charged with it.  Like that lawyer told me earlier, it would be far easier to get them on specific, cut/dried offenses like perjury, falsifying gov't documents, et al.

 

Would be fascinating to hear from Maven about all this.

They've also changed the definition of what war is. Nonetheless, their conspiracy against Trump the candidate and (the attempted overthrow of) the President involved at minimum foreigners from the UK, Ukraine, and Russia. 

 

The left, the media, and others, are okay with this, keep in mind, recalling their efforts to petition and coerce electors in states to go against how voters voted and vote for Hillary or just not Trump making Hillary president. The attempt to subvert American elections and overthrow an American President is about as serious a crime and threat to the Republic as it gets, only surpassed by overt acts of war you mentioned.
