Hi everyone!

Early March I got a notice saying my biometrics was scheduled for 19th March. The ASC closed due to Corona virus just a day or two before that, so I couldn't make the appointment - I then got another notice to attend biometrics on the 31 march, which again I didn't attend because the ASC was still closed.

It's now been over 6 weeks and I haven't got another letter from them to reschedule me. I know I can send back the notice ticking the box 'please reschedule my appointment', but when I called up USCIS it said that reschedulings push you back and it's best to stick with your OG time if possible. My question then is --  should I wait until potentially June to see if I get rescheduled automatically, or have I maybe been lost in the shuffle and should I send the notice back asking to be rescheduled?

(As a side note, I know this is a different line of inquiry but would still love to hear people's thoughts/experiences on this - since I haven't got my biometrics taken I'm assuming my work auth/AP application has effectively been put on hold... is it absolutely essential they take fingerprints before authorising work and AP?

Thanks so much,

stay safe out there!

You should be rescheduled automatically for biometics. There's no need to worry or to rush USCIS on this.
