Hi Biggybola,

We submitted passport picture for i-485, i-765, i-131 just for me the petitionner and in the form i130/i-130a we submitted pictures for both of us. Don't forget the "main" form (i-944), we submitted pictures of me for this one too. I call it main because it didn't fit in one envelope. It actually took  3 of them.

We did cashier's check as well. It secured funds so you know it'll go through. At least we hope.

Good luck to you!

Im the petitioner and I sent in two and think my husband took 6. I"m not sure the exact number of photos. Also like the other person stated please send the I 944 and make sure it is fully complete. Also the i 485 was updated on the USCIS website April 20th so make sure all your forms are current. I recently resent all my forms and they were accepted the second go round. They were rejected because my I 944 was incomplete.

Malajoe,

What did you do different this time for from i-944? What do you mean exactly by incomplete?

I shouldn't even be on this forum now that we sent everything. It's making question our filing..

A lawyer did it the first time and he left a lot of the boxes unchecked. Also i was able to get the credit score and report the second time around. I was able to get more detailed information on the health insurance. It's fine to be on the forum. I came here after my first rejection and it has been a learning process . we're all in this together. But he left a lot of boxes blank so I knew it was going to come back.

Thank you for the info, I feel like people do it the other way around usually. They would try to file first by themselves and get a lawyer next when they get a rfe.

I'm glad it got accepted for you after-all.

I believe we've ticked all the boxes but some of them were confusing, like the one where they list all of the public benefits and then there's this box that says "none of the above". You don't know if it means none of the above listed benefits or not benefits at all..

With the new I 944 I wasn't trying to risk getting rejection because at first the form seems so complicated. But touche because the lawyer was a mess.

Its for those that are not exempted. On the I 485 there's a list of who isn't required to fill it out

Yes.

Another option is to pay by credit or debit card: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-processed-uscis-lockbox-facilities

You must submit Form I-944, Declaration of Self-Sufficiency, or they'll deny your case.

You can submit the civil surgeon medical at the I-485 interview if you want: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4 "If not submitted simultaneously with the immigration benefit application, applicants may bring the medical examination report to an interview or wait until USCIS issues an RFE requesting the medical examination report."

yes Biggybola, unfortunately most of us have to file form I944 as well. It's the most time consuming one but you can do it. There are a lot of great advice on this forum about it.
