How can one embassy say K1s are included and one embassy say they are not? This is driving me crazy.

Found this response on the Department of State Twitter from 11hr age. Seems to imply k1 is part of routine visa services, but I’ll believe it when I see it at this point.

Me again, here is another one where it *seems* like they are saying the London Embassy is wrong and that the k1 for London is only affected by the travel ban NOT the one cited in the London email. They then go on to give this same response to multiple other people asking about k1 in the UK. 
 

But again, interpret as you may.

Thank you for this - and to everyone else for your responses. This sounds extremely promising compared to what the embassy in London said! With much of Europe already open, and the UK opening up from July 4th, lets hope the US begin to let in people from these regions soon so the embassy restarts K1 interviews!

I have come to the conclusion that K1 visas are not affected by the PP.  However, when will the Embassies resume "routine visa services"?  This is THE question.  Could be end of the year, 2021.....who knows.

Looks like the London Embassy took that questionable “including K1” part out of their email.

Another update from the London Embassy. Still basically saying something without saying anything but it looks like they *potentially* anticipate things could resume on a limited basis sometime in the near future?

Thanks for this update!!! This is an AMAZING step forward, the most detail we've had on reopening in months! Thanks for sharing - fingers crossed that the July/August dates that were released will go ahead!

our july 9th interview for k1 was just cancelled as of an hour ago. no new appointments  in london. beyond sad.
