Sorry to hear that 😕 I just heard from someone going for a CR1 that they got an email from the embassy that theirs was rescheduled from July 29th to the 23rd to accommodate embassy resources.

We have an August 7th that is yet to be cancelled.

Hi Sarah.

I would be really grateful if you could ask your friend if their CR1 is normal or expedite or what their DQ date was - I am trying to gauge where I am in all of this.

Wishing you the best for your August 7th!

Just to throw my data into the mix.  I have a IR1 visa interview at the embassy august 10th.  My medical was yesterday.

I havent had any emails to say its cancelled or rescheduled as of yet.

I know someone who has a k1 interview booked for august 3rd or 4th I believe who hasnt had theirs cancelled or rescheduled as of yet either.

Mine is DCF as my wife is here in the uk on a 30 month spousal Visa (adjusted from fiance status, expires December, which is why we chose to move to states before it expires.  Not sure what we would do if we cant get out Visa completed and approved before then).

Just hoping as covid news improves, everyone's journey is impacted as little as possible.

My IR-1 was brought forward as well. Initially it was scheduled for the 7th, but I've just been notified it's been changed to the 6th.

Sorry to hear about all the K1 cancellations 😔

Matt

Ah sorry, we're both living in the UK so we were able to file through DCF with the USCIS office in London and didn't have a DQ date.

That also meant we had to book our own interview for the 7th.

At least it looks like things are starting to move again for IR/CR-1!

Ahh no worries - I am getting desperate any sign.

Best wishes, Matt

Just got a further email from Visa Information Service stating this in relation to my appointment cancellation:

Quote

Due to the Presidential Proclamation titled “Suspending Entry of Immigrants Who Present Risk to the U.S. Labor Market During the Economic Recovery Following the COVID-19 Outbreak.” and Presidential Proclamation (P.P.) titled “Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Certain Additional Persons Who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus.”,  the Immigrant Visa Unit at the U.S. Embassy is severely restricted on the processing of visa cases. If your visa is NOT one of the following exceptions, we are not able to assist you at this time.

Any individual who is the spouse of a U.S. citizen (IR1/CR1 visa classifications)
Any individual who is under 21 years old and is the child of a U.S. citizen, or who is a prospective adoptee seeking to enter the United States (IR2/CR2, IR-4 or IH-4 visa classifications)
Any individual seeking to enter the United States:  on an immigrant visa as a physician, nurse, or other healthcare professional; to perform medical research or other research intended to combat the spread of COVID-19; or to perform work essential to combating, recovering from, or otherwise alleviating the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their respective designees; and any spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old of any such individual who are accompanying or following to join the individual (E3 visa classification)

There is so much conflicting information from embassies around the world and the DOS about when K1 visas will be processed and whether or not they are included in the most recent EO that I think we will just have to wait until embassies resume routine visa services before we find out what the deal with them is unfortunately. I have been driving myself crazy (as I am sure many of you have) trying to find out if I will be able to see my fiancé again this year, so I think at this point it’s best to just wait and see rather than speculating and trying to read between the lines of all the different information we have been given.

I know I said I would wait and see but I couldn’t help myself😂 this is directly from the London embassy website which clearly states that k1 visas ARE NOT included in the most recent EO. I’m pretty sure this was updated yesterday.

So all those with IR - CR + DCF visa appointments - Have you heard anything / are your appointments still going ahead?

It's sad to see so many K1 appointments getting cancelled.
