Joint sponsor age question

We’re gonna need a joint sponsor and would like to use my mom. My question is, my mom will be retiring before the 10 yr sponsorship will be over, her retirement will still be enough to joint sponsor but does NVC consider the age and probability of joint sponsor retiring a negative thing?

Not an issue.......besides, the new immigrant will be a US citizen prior to the 10 year mark, correct?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Absolutely!! And he is an educated man that would be moving to an area that is desperate for employees with his skills so if NVC checks into that sorta thing they hopefully would be less concerned about him being a public charge.
Really appreciate your response thank you!😁

I don't think it will be a considerable factor. But the sponsor's age would technically be a consideration in the totality of the circumstances. The CO does not need to assume the applicant will ever become a US citizen...and with India - IIRC - people may choose not to due to losing Indian citizenship.

I totally understand that, most Indians have strong family ties to India. My hubby doesn’t have that unfortunately though.
I would have enough in property assets to sponsor him but I ended up having to go on disability after complications from multiple surgeries when I was 29, so we want to have a financially strong joint  sponsor as well.
My disability income is just enough to meet the required amount but if I was deciding our case based on my income and not knowing the whole story about us, I wouldn’t approve us without a joint sponsor.

Gotcha. Yeah, I wouldn't be too worried about their age being an issue. As noted it's technically a factor, but I would have a hard time believing a CO would weight that very strongly...it's 10 years away, not the immediate future.

I think it was you, I apologize if I’m wrong here lol, that said awhile back that when submitting 130 petition, quality over quantity. If that was you, than I wanna thank you! I have no clue why or how we got approved so fast but I do think that submitting a petition that wasn’t too long 60-70 pgs total including the forms and documents, and that probably was enjoyable for the person to look at; was like looking at a scrapbook that showed the good, bad, funny and sad of us; maybe helped a little. I credit doing that quality over quantity to you or whoever said it😂
