I submitted my documents on the NVC portal.   1 document was missing a signature (I-864A) and the reviewed sent a message to say this need to be amended.  I re-uploaded a correct version on the document as an attachment.  The document says it is uploaded but it does not let me "submit documents".  when i press the button nothing happens? The other documents have been "ACCEPTED"

On the summary page , for that family member is says "NOT SUBMITTED".

Does anyone know what i am doing wrong here?

Check the Family Member's document page again, is there any document that is missing, or is not available? or has not been uploaded by that FM?

Usually, when documents are not uploaded in full, or where documents cannot be provided, the problem happens.

Hi,

I have checked the family members document page. I did submit my form already successfully, but they sent me a message back to "replace" only 1 document that was missing a signature. I have only uploaded that corrected document and now it wont let me re-submit?

I have just noticed something.  My husband has been added as a family member under that section. But all of the documents are showing as missing.  As my husband is the applicant, i do not need to submit any documents for him in the family section (according to the instructions) as all his documents have been submitted on the applicant side.   Do i put "document missing" for all the documents in his family member section (as this is not applicable)???

this is why it will not let me submit, it thinks there are missing documents even though those documents are not applicable.

Hi Sanjaybb,

The apparent glitch is with the website that has been programmed to deactivate the Submit Documents button once it identifies some incomplete document upload (regardless of the logic behind it).

I will suggest that you upload the same set of documents for the FM so that the website will consider all your expected document uploads as complete.

Do not worry, the Reviewing Officer will sort the documents accordingly once submitted.

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks for your help. Sorry i dont understand what you are suggesting i do.

I have 3 poeople in the AOS section:

1) me the petitioner (all documents accepted)

2) A FM (all documents accepted minus one which i have replaced)

3) My husband (the applicant).  <-- 4 documents are missing.   this documents are not applicable

For my husband, in the AOS section, i cant upload any documents as they would not be applicable (e.g. Proof of US residency, proof of us citizenship etc).  We are applying for him to be the resident.

I have the option to mark each document as "missing" with a comment e.g. "not applicable" which does allow me to submit successfully.

What document are you suggesting i upload in the AOS for my husband?

Okay, I understand that your husband is the Applicant.

I guess the confusion must have been as a result of his inclusion as FM under the AOS (when he is still the Principal Applicant).

Yes, go ahead and mark each document as "missing" (Not applicable).

A second option would probably have been to remove him from the AOS section. But I will suggest you try the former first.

I'll be glad to read that it works.
