Filed in late December but no biometrics. Just wait?

I filed my I-751 in late December and received the NOA and extension but since then I haven't received the biometrics appointment. The last time I got mine taken was when I filed AOS about three years ago. Should I be concerned and try to contact USCIS? Or will they RFE for biometrics at some point once they actually take up my case?

ROC has such a long wait time so USCIS has no use for your biometrics at this point, your case will sit there and collect dust for at least a year. My case was with the California Service Center and I received my biometrics 7 months after NOA1.

It’s widely depends on the service center, what is yours? Texas ( SRC) is the slowest one about bio...plus if you have recently before your 751 for submission any biometrics for different reasons like Global Entry, TSA pre, any work background- you may not need them to USCIS again.

Just wait. My case is in California too. I filed in July 2019 and got bio appointment in January 2020.
