NVC message...what does it mean?

Hi everyone!

we just sent in our I-864 package to NVC on the 13 of june...and will send our DS230 tom...i checked on the nvc automated to see if they are reviewing the I-864...the message was this:

NVC has is waiting for the Biographic form from the 3rd party...after nvc has received the form, pls allow 6-8 weeks to review the documents...

My question is, what is a biographic form? is it the DS230? How can I find if our I-864 is doing ok?

pls guyz help!!!tnx

June 5, 2006 - Received by USCIS

June 20,2006 - I130 notice date

January 25, 2007 - Hubby became a naturalized citizen

January 26, 2007 - sent mail to upgrade from F2 to IR1 and also upgraded it over the fone (USCIS told him to wait for 45 days for I130 to be upgraded)

March 13-Received a letter from USCIS asking for a copy of naturalization cert plus a cover letter entitled I130 Request for Upgrade

March 20- faxed the papers

March 21- TOUCHED!!! finally after 9 months...

March 22- Approval notice

April 2 - Case received by NVC and was assigned a case #.

April 30 - DS3032 & AOS Fee Bill have been generated and sent out

May 2 - NVC accepted agent of of choice w/c was e-mailed the same day DS-3032 was generated

May 7 - IV Fee bill has been generated

May 15 - Both AOS and IV fee bills received in the mail.

May 16 - Mailed both bills to NVC via USPS (overnight)...

May 25 - NVC finished processing AOS fee payment.

May 28 - I-864 package was generated and mailed out

May 29 - NVC finished processing IV fee payment

June 4 - DS230 was generated

June 8 - I-864 package was received in the mail

June 13 - sent I864EZ to NVC

June 15 - DS230 received in the mail

June 20 - DS230 sent to NVC

June 25 - DS230 received by NVC...I864EZ completed

July 6 - CASE COMPLETE!

Aug 15 - INTERVIEW DATE! Approved!!!

Oct 2- it's time to leave...= ) = (

so u think our I-864 is doing ok so far?and if there is something missing, will i find it out on the automated?

Oh yes I see that...

Will NVC start reviewing our I-864 after they have received DS230?Or are they reviewing it already, how long does it usually take for them to finish reviewing the I-864?

They'll review it now and then they'll review the DS-230 when they get it. It usually takes between 2-4 weeks for the case to be closed.

02/05/07 - I-130 sent to NSC

05/03/07 - NOA2

05/10/07 - NVC receives petition, case # assigned

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

I agree with Mononoke - they will be reviewed independently, and I believe they are reviewed by seperate groups. They are returned to two different addresses?

How quickly they start reviewing each may depend on staffing level at the time the form is returned and the number of forms on hand needing review.

It takes about 2-4 weeks to review I-864. Keep calling NVC and speak with an operator live regularly. That way, you will come to know when they finish reviewing your I-864. Yes, DS 230 is the biographic form.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
