Wow, the NVC is moving really fast right now reviewing docs.   I was DQ'd this morning after submitting everything about a week ago.

Sadly, who knows when we'll get an interview

How is this possible?  I have been waiting for months.

I don't understand how some people go through uscis and NVC very quickly.

I think the Trump Immigration "Pause" had alot to do with it.   I think this freed up some man-power to look at my docs.

My docs were also pretty rock solid and I took alot of time to make sure they were scanned well and named in a way that they were easily understood.  I'm a US Citizen and I make plenty of income to ensure my wife isn't going to come here and be a burden on society and we had good originals of the civil docs and there was nothing there that would remotely be a red flag.   I felt when we uploaded them, we were checking all the boxes.

I'm very surprised at how fast this happened, but also if the NVC has some surplus man-power after the immigration pause, I feel like my case was probably a pretty easy one to review and pushed off to the next phase.

Ditto, but u got reviewed fast and I didn't. Luck vs unlucky.

Doesn't make since that they are supposed to be reviewed in order of receipt and that is not what is happening.

That is astonishingly fast. You're fortunate that your income has not decreased due to COVID. I can't; with any degree of accuracy file an I-864EZ yet not knowing my 12 months forward income...

That's what one would think.  Our AOS took a long time, and when I seen people who was behind us already having their Appointments, I sent an email, and we got an appointment date in a weeks time.  It was not in Vegas though, we had to go to the Phoenix office but got it done.  Best of luck!!!

Yeah I tried that as well. They told me that was impossible to happen.

Hey! Wow! Congratulations! Question: (because I remember I saw you post about this a couple weeks ago), did you "bundle" documents together in any of you scans and uploads.

Also, are you sure they stopped processing those other visas because of the immigration suspension? what I read is that they are still processing those visas that are suspended it is just that the person can not enter on that visa until the suspension is lifted. If that is the case, it wouldn't speed things up. But either way, that is amazing for you! I have been waiting since February 20.

I made one PDF file per document and then named it what ever the document was.  Example:  myname_2016_Tax_Transcript.pdf

I have no idea for sure if the NVC stopped processing suspended VISA documents or not.  That was just my guess based on how fast my documents were reviewed.   It probably doesn't matter too much that the NVC approved my docs so quickly.  It doesn't feel like the embassys will open up for at least another couple months. :(

I dont think it has anything to do with new policy. NVC timeframe is even longer than before (May 4 only reviews document submitted on 2/13 which is more than 2months). I only have 1 document that needs to review since 3/6 but that is still waiting on the line which is divorce document. We cant explain how USCIS/NVC works. Some people got processed early than other so i dont think to new policy is impacting anything as I am also US Citizen.

Indeed.  It took USCIS like 9 months to approve my app and a few weeks ago someone posted they got approved in 6 weeks. 🤷‍♂️

Did you submit a police check or was that skipped over due to the current situation?
