I am just wondering what other company I have. My approval was May 31st and NVC has no record yet. I am seeing other people with a week later approval date clearing NVC...so just wondering if they lost mine or if there are others waiting? Thanks...

When you call are you using the automated system or talking to an phone representative. The K-1's are never entered into the automated system because they don't stay there long enough. Press 1 then 5 to talk to a real person.

With that delay you could be in Administrative Review but I hope that is not the case.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.
Waiting - Waiting - Waiting
3/6 Called NVC file sent to Washington for "Administrative Review" Told to call back every few weeks. 7/6 Called NVC, A/R is finished, case on way to Moscow. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 On Friday the 13th we see updated Moscow website with our interview on 9/11 (Hope we are not supersticious) 9/11 Visa Approved. Yahoo.

My NOA2 was on May 31 as well. I checked with the NVC last night and they still don't have my file.

I assume they send the files from the service center to the NVC in batches, not as individual files. Our files are probably sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting to be shipped.

I plan to check again Friday!

Yes, they will usually tell you. Sometimes they will tell you when it really is not true but just going though normal security checks.

I have seen a few cases where they totally lost the file. Shows what an efficient government we have.

I have called everyday so far and still nothing. I did get a nice woman who said "maybe you should call USCIS and tell them to find it"....It's hard watching people approved on June 11th get thru NVC, while they have no clue where late May ones are??? Now if it was a normal business I would not worry, but its the government and we all know how competent they are as a group.

Hey its Kathleen from the fiancee visa board. I am now in K3 process. I got the notice that my case made it to the Texas service center. I am sure you know by now that after all the hell I went through, the k1 got approved but TOO LATE and then we had to start all over. I have a really good attorney now. I really think that you could probably get some answers if you get a decent attorney. I hired one who doesnt have a paralegal and does all the stuff he he does by himself and the file that he submitted is amazing. Anyway... I will give you updates as things chug along. I have my I 130 in now and I am feeling alot better. Just waiting for the NOA1 so I can mail off my 129F and we will see how things move along. I am going ahead and paying the 170. I was tempted to just stick with the whole I130 route but with all the weird changes going on with immigration and the changing service centers, I want my stuff in motion. Is there anyway you can marry her and just drop your k1 and do a k3 and do it with a decent attorney? This whole thing seems like its just dragging on too long.
