N-400 May 2020 filers

Ok - Please try following up with USCIS (preferably tier 2) - although getting through to USCIS agent has become impossible once again

I called today, didn't get to transferred to tier 2. The person answered my call says the A-file takes up to 109 business days. And my case is still pending at local field office. I plan on calling again in a few days

109 ??? that is ridiculous. How did you manage to get through to an agent?  I tried saying 'tech support' - didnt help

I have a question please. How can someone make a FOIA request of an old A-file from the year of 2001 when the A-number is unkown ?

Do you guys think if we keep calling every couple of days would help? Does it get recorded how many times we call? Somebody mentioned here that he/she called USCIS everyday and eventually got an interview. I'm ready to do anything at this point.

One Support person  who took my call clearly knew filed application during lockdown is stuck and she even agree its unfortunately that application filed later are accepted for interview , however she did not know how to escalate this issue.. She doesn’t even know to reach out to people who respond to SR. There was no reply to Initial SR  open so she opened another one.I think probably if we get tier 2 or upper level of support it might make a difference otherwise primary support I doubt can do anything other than open SR.

I am going to call them frequently and request for supervisor to help. It may or may not work but cannot be worst than current situation . I think that’s a good idea !

I just talked to them and requested a tier 2 officer to call me back. The lady said they might contact me via email or phone. If it's an email it's just going to be the standard BS that they always send out. She count even tell me the process or where my case got stuck. I don't have high hopes. If the FOIA request doesn't work, I'm in a deep hole of bureaucracy. What if we file again?Or renew my green card instead? At this point I rather cough up the filing fee again then be in this limbo forever. What a nightmare!!!!

Im having high hopes on FOIA. If it does not work, then filing a lawsuit on USCIS is an option. Not sure on filing N400 again... Need to find out.

Did you open FOIA request yet ? By Calling the USCIS people, they can send a request to to NRC to get your Afile which is what FOIA is doing (kind of..)...

I'm thinking if I file for green card renewal it might happen faster or it might trigger something with my case. The filing fee is cheaper than a lawsuit which would cost thousands. I don't even care about citizenship at this point, I just want out of this limbo. Plus I need to travel in June. By that time I might get my new green card.
