I filed on 12/10 and I'm at 13470 out of 16234 and still at Step 2 ..while my spouse who was 13485 has moved to Step 3.

I suspect the time taken to get to Step 3 co relates to the amount of time you have been in the US.

I need some luck here. I filed in November 2021 to request my A-file. Currently I'm in 3800+ in the waiting line, and it's still in step-2 :(

Don't know why it's taking so long to get my documents... What else can I do to move it??

What is your estimated completion date? .. perhaps you have been in the country for long time they need to search for paper documents..just guessing..hang in there

Thank you for your reply. Estimated date is 1/5.....I'll hang in there for another few days, and fingers crossed for news in the New Year....

I know people who have been here years longer than I am have received interview notices (we filled for A-file within a week of each other)

Hi everyone, I have a relative who already passed N-400 test but was told the decision cannot be made until the officer recieve an old A-file from 2001. It is passed 120 days now, still no update. Can my relative use FOIA to request that specific file only?

Mine went to step 3 as well. I also filled out another inquiry for out of normal processing time. I filed May 24, 2020. Something has to happen with our cases. They can't be in the limbo forever. Of course the current Covid case surge is not helping.

Friends,

Kindly do let me know exactly what we need to request through FOIA.

Do we need to mention our actual A-file number? What copies/information needs to be requested?

Thanks for your help!

Request complete A File and mention A number.

Any update on your status ( has it moved to step 3) ?
