Well "expected reply" from inquiry date has passed.

That day was August 26th.

I wonder if I should see if anything comes next week - not holding my breath - and send another, or just wait.

Thoughts?

Hi, I am willing to share my experience with you. My receipt date is March 2020. It has been longer than the processing time, so I submitted the inquiry on July 13. Their response email said "Expect a reply by August 4, 2021," but I did not receive anything.

So on August 14, I emailed through dhs.gov to them and ask why I did not receive a response from my inquiry. They replied "The processing of your N-400 is within our current processing time. Please see our Web site at www.uscis.gov for processing times."

I don't really understand their reply because it truly has been over my processing time in my local office.

When I tried to submit another inquiry after 30 days, after filling out all data, it still showed as following message even after 30 days from my first inquiry. I tried many times after 30 days, but still showed the same message.

"Existing Inquiry Found"
"We have located a previously submitted inquiry with confirmation number ( SRXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ) for the same issue. You may not submit a new inquiry at this time. You can expect to receive a response to your previous inquiry within 30 days of the date your inquiry was submitted. If you do not receive a response within 30 days, a new inquiry can be submitted at that time or you may call USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY). You will need to provide the inquiry confirmation number when you call."

I am currently in the 15th month, having applied May 2020.

I appreciate the share. If that was your experience, I guess I'll just wait the 30 days and see what happens.

Help with N-445, incorrect middle name (one character wrong)

Hello friends,

After a long wait (almost 3 months) since interview, I finally received my N-445 notice to appear for oath ceremony for Sept 16th, in my N-445 they entered my middle name as wrong . Just one character (instead of “I” they typed as “A”,  correct middle name - “Kiran” but they entered as “Karan”
both my first and last names are correct, does this can cause any effect/problem ? How to get it corrected?

Filed in the end of May, 2020, out of range since this Monday, filed inquiry yesterday and auto-replay said to expect a response by Sept. 22, 2021... After I read more here, I guess it will drag much longer.

You never know..what's clear is that none of the Field Offices appear to be doing it in the First in First Out fashion - which is sad. Have you tried talking to an agent ?

When you get your certificate they ask you to verify that all the information is correct and im pretty sure they fix it on the spot.
