N-400 May 2020 filers

I had been following the countdown on my case.  Yesterday it said 1 day and I was kind of excited to check today.  No surprise... it just has the same message as everyone else’s. Now we wait.

Yes, a ton of USCIS employees are working like normal, they're just not conducting interviews or anything else that requires in-person services. Some Service centers have even sped up their adjudication of ROC cases. I too was approved in the middle of the pandemic and received my new green card just fine, it's not uncommon or anything. 👍

Just submitted n400 2 days ago 🙂 I've been eligible for it since april but wanted to wait for my 10year green card that came few days ago. I'm excited to start my LAST immigration application. This has been a long process lol

We just filed our N-400 on the 24th, we were aiming to wait for the 5 year just to be a bit simpler, but since they are upping the price next year we decided to file now. Currently says we have an estimated wait of 4 months, though I'm highly skeptical considering the covid situation.  Guess we'll see

I submitted yesterday 5/26/2020. i was eligible since March 2020 as i hit 5 years mark due to i got divorce. Not sure if anyone here has the same situation. i saw some people has 4 month estimated. mine is showing 15 months. OMG WHYYYYYYY?

 

i got an update this morning when i log in.

August 2021 (15 months)

Mine says 13 months. Different field offices have different processing times due to case load. By the way, it's just an estimate. You may complete the process before or after 15 months.

Hello all. My wife applied for naturalization online last evening. Local office is Denver and the estimated wait time is 9 months. Good luck everyone!

Have you tried creating an online account at https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ and use your receipt number there? I'm thinking it shouldn't matter if you filed via paper or online, you can still have an account and may be able to see something there?

I haven't receive one yet. I heard I can take up to 4 weeks.

Thanks! Yes, we have an online account for the I-751. In order to add the N-400 case, we need to include an online number that is apparently on the paper NOA1. Once the letter arrives, I’ll give it a try.

We only visit the mailbox once a week (live in an apartment building with a confirmed COVID case, unfortunately), so will see if it’s arrived on Saturday.

My application felt very simple because I am single with no kids. I only submitted a copy of my green card and no other documents, which I hope is correct for my case.. The only other thing that makes me nervous during interview is my 200+ days outside the country. I was never out for more than 6 months tho! Fingers crossed there won't be too much delay due to COVID-19.

 

 

As expected, got this message on May 28 when my countdown was down to 1 day:

We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.
