Checked my wife's case on both old and new website. Nothing going on the old website however, the new website, under the documents tab, shows a biometrics reuse notice (which we saved and printed). The notice shows that the case is at NBC so I'm not sure if that is default data or if it is not yet at the field office.

So I must say, this has been surprisingly quick!

This is 100% same thing I saw as well. No update of status or whatsoever, just Biometrics Reuse notice was attached. I guess IOE is NBC until they send it to the local office for Interview etc.

Submitted: May 8th

Biometrics Reuse: October 22nd  ( I just noticed it today)

Finally completed my journey. Almost 4 years from marriage green card application to citizenship

N400 filed 5/20. Charlotte NC

Biometric reuse 9/4

Interview scheduled 9/17

Interview day 10/27

Approved and oath same day.

I was in and out of the office in 2 hours. People formed a line 15 minutes before scheduled time then they were let in later.

One IO did my reading, civics test and then transferred  me over to another officer over Skype for my N400 interview.

The N400 interview was easy. Just verify the biographic information, kids, marriage etc. Then go over the yes/no questions.

After I was told I was approved and told to wait for the oath ceremony. I verified my name and Social to make sure everything was correct then they took my green card.

once they got up to 20 people, we went over the oath and were handed our printed citizenship certificates.

We were given passport forms and voters registration. And we were allowed to take pictures in the room after.

I believe everyone who was scheduled passed and was sworn in.

Good luck everyone. The most difficult part is getting the interview appointment.

I wonder if all of you guys can still see the expected completion time for your applications?

I submitted my application on May 06, got Biometrics reuse letter on Aug 07, and the estimated completion time was shown as October 2020. Now when I login I literally do not see any timeline besides "We are taking longer" prompt.
Also just a heads up for those who were saying you will receive an interview invite letter in about a month after your biometrics appt or reuse letter. It's been almost three months for me (and counting), and I'm sure there are people who have even a longer wait.

Oh wow, that’s surprising. But rest assured. Once you receive the biometric reuse everything will be completed quickly

Congrats. It is nice to see things moving.  When did you did your last biometrics? I had my biometrics before a year for travel document, I am wondering if they can reuse it for N400. But, there was not move since May.

Thanks @Debai! My biometrics appointment for AOS was on 18 March 2019, so USCIS is using my biometrics details from 18 months ago. Have you received any information regarding your biometrics yet?

I filed my N400 online on 5 May 2020, early this week I saw that my case was moved to Lawrence, MA (my nearest local office is Boston, MA). Yesterday my online account said that my interview is scheduled for the 2nd of December 2020 at the Lawrence, MA office.  The interview notification came a month after I received biometric reuse notification. I haven't received the interview letter in the mail yet.

It's been one whole week since a service request for biometrics was requested. It is still not assigned to an officer. Guess they are swamped with such service requests.

@AraRang - I have a very similar timeline to yours. I'm from a neighboring state (AZ), and have an interview scheduled for the same week as yours.

Since we need to be worried about something, my chief concern now is that a surge in COVID-19 cases would lead to another lockdown like the one which shut down USCIS for over two months in the spring. I seriously hope it won't happen...

I was thinking the same thing. hopefully not. seems that they are working the same. I've been waiting for so long. best luck in your interview.

The covid cases will automatically come down after the elections, Nov 3rd. No need to worry on the potential close down, it will never going to happen in US again. I strongly believe cases will drastically comes down after elections.

  1. In terms of documentations what all do we need to take to the Naturalization interview
    1. A photocopy of the filled form which has all questions answered. I did get furlough from my full time job and took up a couple of temporary jobs & my wife got a different job. So will try to take papers/letters/paystubs supporting that.
    2. do we need printed tickets/emails for all the travel history
    3. 10 Yr GC originals
    4. Marriage certificate/both our birth certificates - originals
    5. Tax returns - originals
    6. Leases and mortgage contract etc. - originals
    7. anything else I'm missing.

Those who have finished their interview, please let me know if this is a good enough list or any more that I need to take to the interview.
