I'm on hold right now to try and talk to someone and see what the heck is going on.

I have to drive across the state to the federal building and I'd like to be able to do that before a midwest winter hits.

Good call on trying to get it done before the roads become bad!  August 2020 filers getting notices for biometrics and interviews already.

I think it boils down to what office is processing your case and the amount of caseload /backlog they manage (or don't). Austin, TX and Cleveland,OH are doing a phenomenal job . Meanwhile NYC/ Newark are lagging behind.

No doubt. I still see it as yet another sign of the complete lack of equity as well as poor management of USCIS.

Any one here got Biometrics notice from Chicago Area? My NOA is May 17th and haven't heard anything yet. Also any idea what is the oldest biometrics USCIS will reuse? I did my last biometric for i751 case in Dec 2016.

Alrighty. Well, I was on hold for 45 mins to talk to someone for 5. Per usual. 🙄

Anyways, spoke with the gentleman with a lovely southern accent who said that my case is processing normally - no red flags 👍🏻- and that I would just have to keep on waiting.

I understand the backlog with all that's going on, but still, after 4 months and no update? Hence, I wanted to call and hear it from an ACTUAL PERSON. When it's my turn for biometrics, I'll be scheduled for it, he said.

So, pretty much the response I thought I'd get. So that's that, I guess.

Just wait.

Thanks for the update. Thinking about calling today as well. Still trying to figure out why they never sent a transfer notice for my wife's case, seems like it is absolutely out of the ordinary.

No problem.

Sometimes it's just nice to hear it from an actual person, even though it's what you thought you'd get.

Oh well.

Guess I waited 10 years, I can wait a few more months.

I'd love for mine to be reused, but I doubt it as they are almost if not 10 years old.

Anyone here from the Baltimore Washington DC area hear any progress beyond Application received on May 08, 2020., Check encashed.

Nothing after that. ROC is approved on May 12th 2020. Initial completion time was April 2021, now it's moved to May 2021.

Hi everyone, I applied May 9th and just received an update online. They are reusing my old biometrics ( I got fingerprinted in November 2019 for I-751) and I have an interview Sept 28th. I'm curious, I moved in the summer and updated my address on the website as we are supposed to. Despite that my notices are being mailed to my previous residence (which is a home I still own, so no big deal) and my appointment is near my old address, which is 4hrs from where I am at now. I certainly do not mind driving there for it, but just wondering if I should be concerned that they will see this as a problem. Since I still own my previous home, I am in the area often. I only moved because Covid changed the job availability for me, and had to take position out of the area.

Hi there, same thing happened to me. I moved and updated my address but my letters/notices are still going to my old address (which fortunately is my in-laws' address so I just collect my USCIS mail when I visit them). The USCIS website shows my new address as my 'physical address' but still has my old address as the 'mailing address'. I have changed my address before, multiple times actually, and never had this issue. So, a glitch in USCIS's system maybe? Although I did get lucky and they moved my case closer to my address so my interview location is 30 mins away vs almost 2.5 hours of driving had they scheduled it based on my old address. You might be able to update it when you go in for your interview, at least that is what I plan to do.
