Quick question guys, if I plan to move from Maryland to Colorado, how can we change address for my N-400. Due to this tough job market, I lost my job at Marriott and found a new one in Denver, CO. How does this impact N-400 process in terms of delay.? Any idea

Hello, great question you've fielded and I don't have a direct answer for you. However, when my wife was in the middle of AOS we moved from Tennessee to Texas after her biometrics were completed. I don't recall there being any hiccups in the transfer or us suffering an undo amount of extra wait time. Whether or not this would also apply to N400 I do not know specifically.

BTW, you'll LOVE Denver! We've since moved here and it's fantastic in so many different ways.

Where are you. I have been flying back and forth (as I am a wedding photographer) so many times to work. I really love Denver!

We live in a northern Suburb, a bit boring but safe. However, we have a mountain view from our balcony so that is always nice to sip coffee or beer to. My only complaint about Denver is that the music scene is a bit malnourished, other than that it's just amazing!

Best of luck on your move!!!

I moved from Evergreen, Colorado to Ohio while my ROC was pending. All I had to do was change the address in the uscis address change website, and it did not affect the processing time at all (compared to other applicants from the VJ forum that had filed at the same time, we got processed and approved around the same time. )

You can also find this in the official Instructions  to fill out the form:

[Day 62] 05/03 - Received EAD/AP combo card by mail

[Day 328] 01/24/2017 - Interview for AOS

[Day 336] 02/01 - Received GC.

10/29/2018 - Sent I-751

07/02/2019 - Biometrics appointment

Tell me please, has you service center changed for 751 when you moved to OH? As we are going to move soon there and I have pending ROC and soon will apply for citizenship...

Hi VJs,

Did anybody receive biometrics appointment in this group?

I filed may 11 for N400 from Houston

A few biometrics offices (called ASC) are opening on July 13, but most are opening on July 20 or 27. The people who get appointments first are likely the ones who had their original appointments cancelled (we're mainly talking about January and February filers here). After that, every single person who filed in February, March and April will have theirs done.

So if you filed in May, expect it to take a while. Count on a few months from when the offices open, be happy with less.

And that's if the furlough does not hold.

I filed to the appropriate center to where I was living at the time.  In my ROC process my file was sent to LIN Nebraska and I honestly have no idea how that gets distributed. There were filers from different centers that were also LIN and were processed around the same time.  Like I said before, I filed for the address change and the move really didn’t seem to affect anything on the process in my experience. If you are skeptical about changing the address while your application is pending, wait until you are in your new address then file it.

I filed may 9 for N400 from Chicago, and it was showing me estimated time  November 2020... but still no biometrics appointment.

No biometrics for me yet either; filed May 15th. The waiting continues!

Oddly enough, and we're not sure if this is an error, but on the older USCIS website the N400 case (which hasn't had a status update) now gives the same status as the i-751. I checked the new website and nothing has changed on the case. Fun times as always!

Oh boy... and here I am, June 30 2020 filer, thinking the online tool is right and I should hear from USCIS tomorrow... 😂

Hang in there, everyone. At least we're now here with our loved ones (those who filed based on family/marriage), as opposed to living the waiting game away from each other.

Hugs for all,

When checking the old USCIS case status page, is anyone else receiving the message "user defined error"? This only happens when checking the N-400 case status. Case status for i-751 is the same as the new USCIS case status site.

For reference, our N-400 case number begins with IOE.
