N-400 May 2020 filers

No I don’t get email

notification for these step

move up. Just got one initial

email Some complex category 2 after I filed FOIA. No interview yet .

I have noticed the below pattern in many cases

1) About 20 days to Step 3 in FOIA

2) Interview in the next 1 week from there

Everything else, no interview. This is beyond frustrating. I sincerely hope everyone file FOIA gets an interview soon.

I got my FAIO completed and got an email, and they send me the 400 page pdf for GC and historical applications etc with all the family information's etc

.It also says it withheld 6 pages due to"  In our review of these pages, we have determined they contain no reasonably segregable portion(s) of non-exempt information...."

When i googled these write up for those 6 pages stated ...looks like that is showing up as standard process of withheld? Did anyone get a completed FOIA document?

Has anyone else had this experience also?

As per FOIA these exempts (6 pages withheld) are due to Privacy Act and 5 U.S.C. 

So, folks in my case all my step 5 is done, and my wife is still in step 2. No interview for both yet. Just an update!

I didn’t see any pages available on my account. Where should I look?

On the same page you see step 1-5 complete you should see documentary Library. Click on that and will take you to all the pdf pages

Oh, Sorry!  Do you think on top of this there is the issue of the local field offices going at a snails pace?

 

I was worried about that as well due to my local office being one of the slowest offices in the country even before Covid.   They are now severely understaffed to add salt to the wound.

Honestly I don’t know . All what I know is they are not considering interview on first come first go basis. This looks to me like a hit and miss . It might just show up interview in fine day! I moved to another state 6 month before . Not sure if it pulled me back in queue ( it should not be like that ) . Otherwise I have no clue .

I checked and I see nothing there which is strange. I wonder if they’re mailing them instead.

Probably mail for you . Probably there was a option of mail option during filing stage you opted ? Someone else can help here as I can’t remember completely ,

Hard to believe they can print and send you 500+ pages in mail ! They might upload it sooner or later , if they have not done yet in DOCUMENT LIBRARY.

I just saw this on the FOIA website. Perhaps I won't get any documents until they send me a written response.
