Have you tried to contact them?   Either via email or call?    The receipt letter states 20 days and permitted 10 extra days if needed.

Also::  "Under the statute, federal agencies are required to respond to a FOIA request within twenty working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. This period does not begin until the request is actually received by the component that maintains the records sought."

Did you get your interview schedule yet?

No, I only just got to stage 2 on the 20th.

But, when I didn't hear anything after I filed on the 12th, I sent them an email inquiring if they received my request and it went to stage 2 the next day.  But it couldn't hurt for them to email or call since it's been since Nov 21'

I filed FOIA on 01/13, moved to stage 3 yesterday and no interview schedule yet. I’m May 2021 filer though.

Hmm!  Yeah I am May 2020. I am just waiting.  If this doesn't work I have decided to just renew my GC and wait because short of storming the caves I have tried everything at this point. LOL

Good luck to us. Have seen some folks who filed FOIA and got scheduled for interview at stage 2 and 3. Let’s keep hoping.

Apr 2020 N400 filer

FOIA Filed for both me and wife: 12/30

Step 3 for both: 1/20

No interview yet for both

Just got the interview scheduled. Didn't get any notification. But I log in to the Uscis account page daily, so found it.

Took me whopping 652 days to come to this stage. Numerous SRS, Senator, Ombudsman - NOTHING WORKED. FOIA did 🙂

SamAndi congrats !

Vol_UTK , I am not their yet . Step 3 file 12/10. Step 3 since 3 weeks and stuck with no interview .I am in 1800 in queue and estimate date 2/2.
i heard someone in this forum filed FOIA in nov and has crossed the estimated date and still waiting for interview . He was in 500 queue.

On the other side i see many good news of interview for FOIA filed . So I guess it’s a matter of waiting ? I don’t know .

I am just curious why? I wish you get your interview scheduled as well sooner. Is this because of your field office? Or you been in multiple states or longer time in US so much paper work?

Thanks !

I honestly don’t know the reason. In my case in last 6 month one state change .  There are folks who have got interview who have been in US longer than me . So just longitivtiy of stay need not be the reason .  After 3 unsuccessful SR, they told me today Tier 2 will call in a month . I don’t think I have an option besides waiting .
