We filed my husband's N-400 application in May 2020. Initially, the estimated processing time listed in his online USCIS account was about eight months with an estimated completion in January 2021. In July, that was pushed back an additional ELEVEN months to December 2021. No explanation was given other than the standard "we are taking longer than expected to process your case."

We just checked his online account again this morning--the estimated completion date was pushed back ANOTHER four months to April 2022. That will be two YEARS to process his citizenship application. His ROC is also still processing and the 18-month extension will expire in four weeks. Total crickets from USCIS. I'm currently on the phone trying to schedule an INFOPASS appointment to get the i-551 stamp in his passport.

There are no words for the rage I feel.

Congratulations. I hope they take the combo interview. Take your partner with you, even though if they don’t allow him/her into the office.

The estimated time is as reliable as US postal service , don’t fetch too much on that as it showed estimated time as few months away (in 2021) for people who even got their oath ceremony completed. It’s run by crazy algorithm, which is not even reliable, more soo during this covid time. If your field office is Washington DC , unfortunately the wait time is lot longer. I thing I done to get my biometrics is to send the message to USCIS officer via my account from my USCIS website, hope it helps to atleast get the biometrics.

That is insane... But usually the estimated completion date doesn't mean anything... So hopefully this is just a glitch. Mine still says July 2021 but I even have not got biometrics notice yet.

I think the estimated time is driven by local office processing time.. our case estimated compltion was July 2021 then went to sept 2021 (14 months) and now it’s May 2021(11months) which is kind of in line with phoenix processing times on both occasions .

Fyi we filed in July 2020

Well, my estimated completion time was December 2020 and I haven't received a single update since the initial NOA that I received on May 6th.

Just checked my account, and now my estimated time is gone and I have the "we are taking longer" message displayed instead. I also have an "invalid date" bug under the history tab. I am not too worried about the delay but it is definitely starting to become frustrating.

Finally got my biometrics rescheduled for a better time. Actually thought uscis was very efficient today. I called them complaining and they had a tier two call me back within 1 hour and before the call I got a nice little follow up email with some helpful information about the call back. Hopefully once they take my fingerprints it will move things along quickly.

My case completion date was just changed from sept 2021 to March 2021. But based on everyone comments I probably would not holding my breath then.

I filed on may 25th 2020

NoA on May 27th 2020

Reuse Biometric on Dec 14 2020

Receive the letter on reuse biometric on Dec 28th 2020

Completion date also change from Sept 2021 to March 2021on Dec 28th 2020

Ok, so last week they pushed my case from July 2021 to September 2021 🙃.

I filled on may 28th,

Biometric reuse letter on September 4th.

I got so frustrated, but I checked my case today and the completion date changed from September 2021 to March 2021 (3 months).

We will see how it changes again to September  in the next few days 😪
