Is it normal to be not told you are on "Administrative Processing"? My fiance had her interview on January and was approved, and still did not get her visa. They did not say anything about being on ap, but when we check the CEAC website it just says "ready".

Yes. Everyone goes through AP. Recently it has been moving from AP to REFUSED .. don’t worry it’s just their use of refused until approved ... AP can be days , weeks .. months .. depends on what they still need to finalise ..

No one can say with any certainty when your visa will be issued. Administrative processing is at its most frustrating when it goes on for several months. Typically, this is caused by a consular post waiting for a response on some form of advisory opinion. More recently due to additional administrative hurdles such as the recent flurry of executive orders regarding visa issuance. We have seen some who have experienced exceptionally prolonged delays sometimes beyond a year. But those are rare. Administrative processing (AP) has no set limits, it can go as short, or as long, as is determined by the administrative agency deems appropriate. All you can do is sit back, relax, and wait for them to be complete with their adjudication process.

AP  in Morocco can be long if you live in the North from Fes and up

If they have kept her visa , they will have it until the visa page is added

If the AP lasts 6 months past her medical exam,  a new medical will be required as she has to travel within 6 months of the medical / so far they have not required the 2 criminal reports to be updated Just the medical

You have not completed a timeline on your profile and it would be helpful if you did,  you are going to have a lot of questions concerning the AOS and other processes you will be going thru /  this is not over till she gets her citizenship so keep a copy of everything you have done and will do in the future for USCIS
